The dental council of India on on 13th May 2020 has released an advisory stating that no dentist or dental professional should be posted in isolation ward for the treatment of covid-19 patient.

- Pre-screening.
- Recording Case history and Identification of vulnerable age engage groups.
- Community engagement and Contact tracing and Patient tracking.
- Health facility Infection control management
- Administrative work related to COVID-19 from purchases, record management etc.
- Health Dashboard maintenance and IEC related activities
- Post discharge counseling and management of patients.
- Review supply Chains and stocks of essential medicines
- Organising capacity building and training for healthcare professionals.
As a whole, the dental council of India's new guidelines clearly say that dentists are not allowed to treat covid-19 patients directly.
